French Immersive Performance bAlllAd Enchants Sacred Heart College Campus
Kochi, June 12, 2026: Sacred Heart College, Thevara, witnessed a unique fusion of music, movement, and interactive art as the Department of French, in collaboration with Alliance Française, hosted the French immersive performance bAlllAd by renowned French artist Bertrand Devendeville on June 12, 2026.
Organized as part of Fête de la Musique 2026 and the wider Month of Music celebrations, the special morning performance transformed the college campus into a vibrant stage for artistic exploration. Held at 9:30 AM, the event brought together students of Sacred Heart College and Alliance Française for an unforgettable musical journey through the institution's indoor and outdoor spaces.
Unlike a conventional concert, bAlllAd is an immersive and participatory performance that reimagines familiar surroundings through sound, movement, and collective engagement. Guided by Bertrand Devendeville, participants traversed pathways, courtyards, and gathering spaces across the campus, experiencing music in an innovative and interactive format often described as a “silent disco” experience.
The performance encouraged students to engage with their environment in new ways, blurring the boundaries between audience and performer while celebrating creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange. Through this distinctive artistic intervention, everyday campus spaces were transformed into dynamic sites of expression and connection.
The event reflected the commitment of Sacred Heart College and Alliance Française to fostering international cultural experiences and promoting the appreciation of global artistic practices among students. The enthusiastic participation and positive response from attendees made bAlllAd a memorable highlight of the college's cultural calendar and the ongoing Fête de la Musique celebrations.
