Photography Competition: EcoWatch – See, Share and Safeguard Our Environment
The Directorate of Extension, Kerala Agricultural University (RCI UBA), in association with Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, invites students from colleges across the Central Kerala districts to participate in “EcoWatch: See, Share and Safeguard Our Environment,” a photography competition aimed at promoting environmental awareness and conservation through visual storytelling.
Participants can showcase environmental concerns and ecological challenges through photographs under the following categories:
Category A: Waste Hotspots Affecting Biodiversity Plastic waste, dumping sites, litter accumulation, waste near water bodies, wetlands, habitats, and biodiversity-rich areas. Category B: Environmental Threats to Agriculture Environmental degradation impacting agricultural productivity, including waste dumping in fields, polluted irrigation channels, blocked drainage systems, and land degradation. Category C: Wetland and Waterbody Degradation Water pollution, canal degradation, encroachment, aquatic ecosystem disturbances, invasive species, and habitat degradation. Category D: Environmental Neglect and Ecological Disturbance Environmental conditions affecting biodiversity, ecological balance, sanitation, and public environmental quality. Prizes
🥇 First Prize: ₹6,000 🥈 Second Prize: ₹3,000 🥉 Third Prize: ₹1,000
Certificates will be awarded to selected participants and winners.
