World Day Against Child Labour Observed at Sacred Heart College
"Every Child Deserves a Childhood"
In observance of World Day Against Child Labour, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit 31 of Sacred Heart College, Thevara, is organizing a Thematic Flashmob Awareness Programme through Dance and Drama on 17 June 2026 at 12:30 PM at the College Portico.
The programme aims to raise awareness about the urgent need to eliminate child labour and promote every child's right to education, freedom, and a safe childhood. Through creative performances, volunteers will convey powerful messages highlighting the importance of ensuring that children hold books and pencils rather than tools and burdens beyond their age.
Child labour continues to deprive millions of children of their childhood, education, and opportunities for a better future. The awareness initiative encourages students and the college community to stand together in support of children's rights and contribute towards building a society where every child can dream, learn, play, and grow.
Theme: Books, Not Bricks – Small Hands Should Hold Pencils, Not Tools
Date: 17 June 2026 Time: 12:30 PM Venue: College Portico
The programme is conducted by the National Service Scheme (NSS) SH Unit Thevara (Unit 31).
