We, deeply condole on the sad demise of Zoology alumnus Rev. Fr. Issac Alappat CMI (86), founder, Chetana Media Institute Thrissur. He excelled in life as Academician, Film Director, Editor, Cameraman, Script writer and author of many books. After his postgraduation in Zoology from Sacred Heart College, he served Christ College Irinjalakuda as Faculty in Zoology for some time. He was a pioneer in the field of bringing fresh insights into Film and Television Studies and Production into Kerala, after his higher studies in Film and Television at Loyola Mary Mount University, Los Angeles, USA.
A self-constructed model of DNA was contributed to the college by Fr. Alappat in 2010 as his tribute to the Alma mater, which is on display in the Zoology Museum of the college.
May God give him eternal rest and may his soul rest in peace.
