Dr. Nadirsha P. S. Nawab is an environmental scientist and Assistant Professor specializing in geospatial analysis, species distribution modelling, and climate change impact assessment. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the Central University of Kerala, with research focusing on integrating remote sensing and modelling tools to assess biodiversity and climate change impacts in the Western Ghats.
He completed his M.Sc. in Ecology and Environmental Science from Pondicherry University and B.Sc. in Environment and Water Management from Sree Narayana College, Alathur. In addition, he holds multiple diplomas and certifications in Geo-informatics, Climate Change, Biotechnology, and Horticulture, reflecting a multidisciplinary academic foundation.
Dr. Nadirsha has authored several peer-reviewed research papers in reputed national and international journals, with works addressing soil and groundwater quality mapping, forest degradation assessment, and habitat suitability modelling using GIS and remote sensing techniques. His ongoing research interests include blue carbon ecosystems, climate adaptation strategies, and marine geospatial applications.
He has received five Best Research Paper Awards at national and international conferences, including recognition at the G20 Conference (2023) and HICCAR (2022). He has undergone advanced training in Remote Sensing, GIS, Hyperspectral Data Analysis, and Climate Modelling from leading institutions such as NRSC Hyderabad, IISc Bangalore, and NASA’s ARSET program.
Beyond research, Dr. Nadirsha is deeply interested in environmental education, sustainable resource management, and the application of geospatial tools for conservation planning.
