Invited Talk on Biodiversity from Citizens’ Perspectives – Multiple Citizens’ Viewpoint
The Department of Botany & Zoology, in association with the Primrose Nature Club and Bhoomithrasena, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), is organizing an invited talk on "Biodiversity from Citizens' Perspectives – Multiple Citizens' Viewpoint" on 8 June 2026 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Fr. Melesius Hall.
The session will be led by Dr. N. S. Pradeep, Director, KSCSTE–Malabar Botanical Garden and Institute for Plant Sciences, who will share valuable insights into biodiversity conservation and the role of citizens in understanding, documenting, and protecting natural ecosystems.
The programme aims to foster environmental awareness and encourage students and nature enthusiasts to appreciate biodiversity through diverse community perspectives. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how citizen involvement can contribute to conservation efforts and sustainable environmental practices.
All students, faculty members, and nature lovers are cordially invited to attend the session.
