About

The department of Commerce of Sacred Heart College has the distinction of being the pioneer in Commerce education in the state of Kerala. It was one among the three colleges under the Madras University to start the B.Com programme in 1944. The department started the Master’s degree programme in Commerce in 1961 and in the year 1998, the department became an approved research centre under MG University Kottayam. Today, it is ranked as one among the top 25 Commerce departments in the country.
