Sacred Heart College @ UNITAR International University, Malaysia

Students from Sacred Heart College are currently participating in a Global Immersion and Field Engagement Program at UNITAR International University, Malaysia, designed to blend academic exposure with hands-on industry experience across diverse sectors in Malaysia.

The program emphasizes field immersion and applied learning, enabling students to engage directly with industries, institutions, and policy environments, while understanding real-world challenges in business, sustainability, and international relations within the ASEAN region.

As part of their academic immersion, students attended a distinguished session titled “Strengthening ASEAN–China Relations: Malaysia’s Vision for Regional Cooperation and Sustainable Development”, delivered by Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ir. (Dr.) Lim Hock San, JP. The session provided strategic perspectives on regional cooperation, sustainable growth, and Asia’s evolving economic landscape—complementing the students’ ongoing field projects with Malaysian industries

Through industry visits, field-based projects, expert interactions, and policy discussions, students gain:

• Practical exposure to Malaysia’s industrial and corporate ecosystem
• Insights into ASEAN–China economic and strategic partnerships
• Experience in applying classroom knowledge to real-world contexts
• Cross-cultural competencies and global professional readiness
