Fr. George Pittapally, our former faculty member in the Department of Physics, is presently the Director of Mithradam Renewable Energy Centre. The idea of Mithradam took shape during his tenure at our institution, and the name Mithradam was suggested by Fr. Jojo Parakkeattil, who was then a scholastic at the Sacred Heart Monastery. The centre also functions as our extension centre, and a part of the land on which it stands belongs to the Sacred Heart Monastery.
