Workshop on Rorschach Ink Blot Test

On 20 March 2026, the Department of Psychology conducted a specialized workshop on the Rorschach Ink Blot Test, one of the most widely recognized projective techniques in clinical personality assessment. The session was led by Dr. Dhanya Chandran, Head of the Department at AIMS, Kochi. The workshop provided a comprehensive introduction to the theoretical foundations of the test, as well as the intricate administration procedures required to ensure clinical validity.

Participants were given hands-on exposure to the nuances of response recording and basic interpretation, focusing on how perceptual and cognitive processes reveal personality dynamics. By providing direct experience with the cards and the scoring logic, the session enhanced the students' technical proficiency in projective assessment. This high-level training ensured that students gained a practical understanding of how to use subjective data to derive objective clinical insights, a critical skill for any aspiring clinical psychologist.
