The Department of Computer Science at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Kochi, successfully organized a two-day hands-on workshop titled “Git It Right – A Hands-on GitHub Workshop” on September 19 and 22, 2025. The primary goal of the workshop was to equip students with practical skills in version control and collaborative project management using Git and GitHub, tools essential for modern software development. The sessions were expertly conducted by distinguished alumni, Mr. Abhijith Kumar (CTO, PetRA) and Mr. Ajay Aji (CEO, PetRA), who enriched the training with valuable technical insights and industry experience. Participants gained crucial practical experience in fundamental Git operations, including commit, push, and pull, alongside practical skills in repository management and collaborative workflows. The event was highly appreciated for its practical approach and direct relevance to real-world software development practices.
