Extension activity
On 10 March 2026, the Department of Psychology at Sacred Heart College, Thevara, conducted a significant Extension Activity aimed at interdisciplinary knowledge sharing. The department welcomed 60 nursing students from Sree Sudheendra College of Nursing for a comprehensive visit to the Psychology Laboratory. This visit served as a bridge between the nursing and psychology disciplines, highlighting the importance of psychological assessment in holistic healthcare.
Facilitated by Ms. Diya Mariam Jimmy, Ms. Sreenandhitha K S, and several Postgraduate students, the visitors received an in-depth orientation on various psychological experiments and standardized assessments. The session provided the nursing students with practical exposure to the tools and methodologies used to evaluate mental health and behavioral patterns. By fostering this collaborative learning environment, the department successfully emphasized the integrated nature of physical and mental health education.
