About
Climate crisis demands a form of creative expression that is dislodged from its intellectual realm, rendering a framework beyond the familiar trope of the anthropocene. The urgency of the situation demands a real, action-oriented approach involving large-scale involvement of the masses. It is in this context that Sacred Heart College, Kochi has taken the initiative to adopt a Green Policy and has laid out an action plan to implement the same. One of the objectives of the Green Policy of Sacred Heart College is to support the implementation of various activities to generate awareness among the citizenry regarding the rich biodiversity of Kochi, Kerala and get them involved in their conservation. At SH, we believe that our campus community has a pivotal role to play in raising
public awareness on crucial issues such as water resources management and environmental conservation. We are also committed to align ourselves with the United Nations’ “30 by 30” plan for biodiversity, which calls for conserving 30 percent of our planet’s land and water resources by 2030.
The college has been promoting the national goals of ‘Clean India and ‘Fit India (Swacch Bharat and Swasth Bharat) through various activities.
