The Department of English and the Centre for Research, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, organised the Dr. C. S. Francis Endowment Lecture, an initiative instituted by Dr. C. S. Francis, former Head of the Department of English. A devoted theatre enthusiast, Dr. Francis envisioned the lecture as a continuation of his lifelong engagement with performance and literary culture. Established on his retirement, the endowment aims to nurture awareness, appreciation, and critical sensibility towards theatre and performance among students.

The lecture was delivered by Ashwin Singh on 04 February 2026 at 9:30 AM in Dr. Manmohan Hall, Main Campus. The programme was organised under the guidance of Dr. Biju C. S., Principal, Mr. Bijo N. Mathew, Head of the Department of English, and coordinated by Dr. Aravind R. Nair.
