The Department of Computer Science at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, conducted an impactful outreach session titled “Exploring the Digital World: Intro to Data Science & Cyber Hygiene” on September 25, 2025, at VHSS Panangad. The event was specifically designed to introduce higher secondary students to the fundamentals of Data Science and essential Cyber Hygiene practices. The session was led by the department's Integrated M.Sc. Computer Science (Data Science) students, under careful faculty guidance. Key topics covered included data visualization, an overview of AI and machine learning, and critical online safety measures. Through interactive demonstrations and discussions, the program successfully fostered awareness about responsible digital behavior and motivated the students to consider career paths in emerging technology fields.
