Workshop on ‘Intellectual Property Rights’
A Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights will be jointly organized by Sacred Heart College, Thevara, and the Patent Information Centre - Kerala (PIC-Kerala), Intellectual Property Rights Information Centre (IPRIC-K), Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), Government of Kerala on August 1, 2025, at Sacred Heart College, Thevara, Kochi. The sessions will feature eminent speakers including Dr. Kavitha Chalakkal, Assistant Professor at the Inter University Centre for IPR Studies, CUSAT; Shri. Krishna Prasad, Design Engineer at Kerala Electrical & Allied Engineering Co. Ltd., Kochi; and Dr. Asha R, Project Scientist II at the Patent Information Centre - Kerala, KSCSTE. The workshop is open to students (UG, PG, PhD), faculty, and scientists, and will cover key topics such as patents, infringement, PPV, and patent infringement. A registration fee of ₹200 is applicable, which includes a workshop kit (with patent search leaflets), refreshments, lunch, and a certificate. Interested participants are requested to register by July 29, 2025. Dr. Pius Augustine and Dr. Grace Thomas serve as the coordinators, under the guidance of Dr. Biju C.S., Principal.
