Department of Journalism Students’ Magazine Release & Seminar
The Department of Journalism is proud to host the release of the Students’ Magazine alongside a thought-provoking seminar titled “The Shifting Sands of Magazines: Yesterday, Today, and Beyond” on 4th August 2025 at 10:45 AM in Melesius Hall. The event will feature insightful sessions by renowned media professionals. Tisha E. Jacob, Senior Sub Editor at The Week, will speak on “Journalism in the Age of AI: How to Stay Ethical and What Can We Do Differently,” exploring the challenges and ethical considerations in modern journalism. Bijuraj R. K., Senior Sub Editor at Madhyamam Weekly, will deliver a session in Malayalam titled “നവ മാധ്യമ കാലത്തെ സാംസ്കാരിക-വാർത്താമാസികകൾ: സാധ്യതകളും പ്രതിസന്ധികളും” (Cultural and News Magazines in the New Media Era: Possibilities and Challenges), offering regional perspectives on the evolving magazine landscape.
