CHEMIGNITE 7
The Department of Chemistry at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, proudly celebrates 80 years of excellence in Chemistry with CHEMIGNITE 7, a joint initiative by the Chemistry Association and Chemalumni. The event will take place on Friday, 27 June 2025, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Melesius Hall. This year’s highlight is a talk on “Computational Study of Carbon Nanohoops with C60 Fullerenes for Photovoltaic Applications” by Dr. Gibu George, who holds a PhD from the Institute of Computational Chemistry and Catalysis, University of Girona, and is an alumnus of the MSc Chemistry batch of 2017–2019.
The event will be graced by Prof. Biju C.S, Principal; Shri Oomen Thomas, President, Chemalumni; Dr. Ammu Rosin Jose, Faculty Coordinator, Chemalumni; Dr. Jinu George, Head of the Department; Dr. Abi T.G, Association Faculty Coordinator; and Miss Ann Tessa Rajesh, Student Association Secretary.
