Sacred Heart College is proud to add one more feather to its cap of services to the society – The Heartian Guru Shreshta Awards
These awards are instituted with the intention of honouring and encouraging teachers who take pride in promoting innovation, display wholehearted commitment and aim at holistic development of the society. They are particularly focused on the services of a teacher who has made a difference in the lives of the students as well as the community. These recognitions are given annually to one outstanding college teacher and one outstanding school teacher.

The winners will be presented with a cash award, memento and citation on the solemn occasion of the annual heartian fiesta – Heartifest Day (Saturday, 21.01.2023)

Eligibility
The award is instituted for the following categories:
- Government /Aided College teachers.
- Government /Aided School teachers upto higher Secondary level.
Teachers working in Kerala State are eligible to apply.
Teachers working in the educational institutions of CMI Sacred Heart Province, Kochi are not eligible to apply. Close relatives of such teachers are also not eligible.
The award is instituted for the following categories:

- Nominations should be filed in the prescribed format available in the document.
- Candidates can be nominated by self or by the institution / colleagues.
- The applicant should attach the testimony of a minimum of three students.
- A list of 20 students from different batches with their phone numbers should be attached.
- Nominations with required supporting documents and necessary annexures should reach the college before the deadline given in the award call.
- Only the relevant sections in the nomination forms need to be filled.

- A scrutiny committee will shortlist the nominations
- A panel of eminent academicians will select the outstanding teacher and declare the ‘Heartian Guru Shreshta’ Award for the year.
- The decision of the award committee will be final and binding.
