In recognition of the invaluable contributions of teachers, Sacred Heart College introduced the Heartian Guru Shreshta Award in 2022 as part of its Platinum Jubilee celebrations. This prestigious award honours and encourages teachers who demonstrate exceptional innovation, unwavering dedication, and a profound commitment to the holistic welfare of society. It seeks to acknowledge educators who make a significant difference in the lives of their students, their immediate community, and national development.

The awards are conferred annually to three outstanding college teachers (one from each category: Science and Technology, Arts and Humanities, and Social Science, Commerce and Management) from any Government, Government-Aided or Autonomous college affiliated with a national or state-level University for their remarkable service to students and society. This initiative reflects the college’s deep appreciation for educators who inspire change and excellence in education.
