Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, is among the top-ranking colleges in India. This prestigious award honours and encourages teachers who demonstrate exceptional innovation, unwavering dedication, and a profound commitment to the holistic welfare of society. It seeks to acknowledge educators who make a significant difference in the lives of their students, their immediate community, and national development.

The awards are conferred annually to three outstanding college teachers (one from each category: Science and Technology, Arts and Humanities, and Social Science, Commerce and Management) from any Government, Government-Aided or Autonomous college affiliated with a national or state-level University for their remarkable service to students and society. This initiative reflects the college’s deep appreciation for educators who inspire change and excellence in education.
