  • Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) in Social Work from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala (2026), with research focused on the health and quality of life of inter-state migrant labourers in Kerala.
  • Over 15 years of professional experience spanning higher education, social work research, community development, livelihood, health, mental health services, and development-sector programmes.
  • Extensive research experience on inter-state migrant labourers in Kerala, including health conditions, health-seeking behaviour, self-reported morbidity, social inclusion, and social work interventions.
  • Published research articles in peer-reviewed academic journals, including the Rajagiri Journal of Social Development and the Journal of Social Work Education and Practice, and contributed chapters to academic publications.
  • Presented research papers at national and international conferences on migration, migrant health, social inclusion, social work practice, health and well-being, and vulnerable populations.
  • Served as Head of the Department of Social Work and Assistant Professor, providing academic and strategic leadership for undergraduate and postgraduate Social Work programmes.
  • Experienced in curriculum development, syllabus revision, research supervision, field education, rural immersion programmes, academic administration, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Served as University Additional Examiner and External Examiner for MSW examinations, including practical examinations and viva voce.

  • Significant experience in community engagement and extension activities, including medical and cancer-awareness camps, migrant-worker interventions, health awareness programmes, and support for vulnerable communities.
  • Professional experience in mental health counselling, including adolescent counselling, learning-disability identification, crisis intervention, career guidance, behavioural concerns, and mental-health awareness programmes.
  • Experience in programme management and development-sector interventions, including community-based savings groups, women’s empowerment, gender sensitisation, financial literacy, leadership development, and capacity-building programmes.
  • Worked collaboratively with government departments, NGOs, police, legal bodies, Child Welfare Committees, and community organisations in cases involving migrant workers, vulnerable populations, and child protection.
  • Strong academic and professional competencies in research methodology, academic writing, counselling, field education, training and development, community engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
