About the Speaker:
Dr. Suresh Das is a distinguished scientist and academician renowned for his contributions to photochemistry. He has held prominent positions such as the Executive Vice President of the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology, and Environment, and was the Director of the National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology, CSIR, Trivandrum. Dr. Das's expertise spans material science, photonics, and nanotechnology. He has published over 150 research articles in various reputed journals and has been honored with several awards, including the Sastra-CNR Rao Award for Excellence in Chemistry & Materials (2014), the J. C. Bose National Fellowship, DST (2013), and the Silver Medal from the Chemical Research Society of India (2009). Additionally, he has served as the Chairman of the curriculum committee of the FYUG program by the Kerala State Higher Education Council.
