EXHIBITION ON WORLD FISHERIES DAY
An exhibition was conducted at the department of aquaculture in connection with the celebration of World Fisheries Day -21st November 2022. It showcased the newly set ornamental fish hatchery with various types of both indigenous and exotic ornamental fishes, models of crab culture unit, shrimp culture unit, museum specimens of commercially important marine fishes and various charts depicting the status of present day world fisheries.Models of different types of fishing crafts and gears and aquaponics units were also exhibited. A variety of live feed culture and indigenous aquatic plants were also there. Hatchery produced ornamental fishes were also sold to the public. Students and teachers of this college and students from neighbouring schools visited the exhibition.
