The Department of Zoology, in association with ZAASH – Zoology Alumni Association of Sacred Heart College, is organising "Snakes Around Us: Snake Bite Awareness" on 23 July 2026 at 10:30 AM in Fr. Melesius Hall.

The awareness programme will be led by Sandeep K. Das, a proud alumnus of Sacred Heart College (2013–2016), who is a Researcher, Amphibian Ecologist, and Conservation Educator. The session aims to create awareness about snakes, promote safe practices for preventing snake bites, and educate participants on appropriate first-aid measures and the ecological importance of snakes.

Students, faculty members, and nature enthusiasts are invited to participate in this informative programme and gain practical insights into snake conservation and snake bite awareness.
