The Department of Computer Science at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, successfully hosted the CASA Inauguration 2025 on July 18, 2025. The event commenced with a formal inaugural ceremony that included a prayer, welcome address, presidential message, and the traditional lighting of the lamp. The highlight of the day was the inaugural address delivered by distinguished guest Dr. Lija Jacob. Following the ceremony, the department presented its annual report, celebrated student achievements through an awards distribution, and showcased student performances. A core part of the inauguration was a specialized technical session on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning – Merging Humanity with Innovation, also conducted by Dr. Lija Jacob. This session offered students deep insights into current AI concepts, real-world applications, ethical considerations, and the vast future career opportunities in the field, successfully sparking curiosity and motivation. The entire event was a blend of tradition and innovation, effectively celebrating the department's progress while fostering knowledge and enthusiasm for emerging technologies.
