The Department of Economics at Sacred Heart College, Thevara, has a rich history of academic
excellence, beginning in 1944. Since becoming a postgraduate centre in 1959 and a PhD research
centre in 1994, the department has awarded 59 doctoral degrees and continues to be a leader in
economic research and education. We are proud to organise this year’s National Economics
Conference.
