Department of Computer Science has organised ‘Five Day International Workshop on Art of Writing a Research Paper’ from 4th Jan to 8th Jan, 2021. The objective of this workshop is to introduce the skills and knowledge required to publish scientific research findings in peer reviewed journals. The workshop also focuses on the research tools LaTeX software and Mendeley Reference Manager. The first three days sessions were handled by Dr. Vinu Sherimon, faculty of dept. of IT, Higher college of Technology, Ministry of Manpower, Sultanate of Oman and last two days sessions by Mr. Arun Balakrishnan, Asst. Professor, Department of Electronics, CUSAT. 39 outside participants and 10 department faculty members were attended the sessions. The topics covered in the workshops were structure of a research paper, sections of a research paper, journal finder, LateX software and Mendely reference manager. All sessions were very fruitful and enjoyable. The valedictory session was chaired by Dr. Varghese Paul, PG Professor & Research supervisor of Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology.
