Learning at SH College breaks away from the conventional methods of rote learning and focuses on knowledge creation and management, equipping students to think critically and effectively question, critique as well as absorb what they learn.
The primary source of learning will be through lectures. Each programme will have 300 hours of contact lectures per semester, which will allow for first hand student-teacher interaction.
Seminars & Presentations
Practical application of the knowledge imparted through lectures is encouraged through various seminars and presentations throughout the course of the programme.
Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA)
Each programme, assigns marks for 2 internal tests, 2 assignments, 2 seminars and attendance, all of which comprise the CIA marks.
Study Tour/ Industrial visits
Every department organises yearly study tours for its students depending on the discipline. An Industrial visit is also organised for students in the final year of their courses for a practical, real-world perspective on their field of study.
By the end of every programme, students shall complete a research project on a topic of their choice in their respective field.
On the job training/Internships
Students are encouraged to do internships in their respective field of study for extra credits, as they provide on the job training and are immensely helpful in gaining practical knowledge about the subject.
