Mac Mer bags Best Campus Film award

Mr.Mac Mer (Shifin Mathew) studied MA Cinema and Television (2018 -'20) at SH School of Communication and now is an independent filmmaker. His directorial debut 'Burn' was awarded `Best campus film produced within Kerala' (shared with Unseen Voices by Raj Govind) of 13th IDSFFK (International Documentary and Short Film Festival) at Thiruvananthapuram on14th December 2021. Ms.Anju T Kakkanattu, another student of MacMer's batch plays the central character in the film `Burn'. Burn talks about the crisis of education in the contemporary socio political scene where students are marginalised on various pretexts. IDSFFK is rated as one of the best film festivals in south Asia that features documentaries and short fiction films.
Sacred Heart College is proud of Mac Mer's achievement. The college congratulates Mac Mer (Shifin), Anju and the team they worked with, while making this film.
This year `Hotel Raahgir' co-written and acted by Ms.Ubitha K (BA Animation and Graphic Design 2013 batch) and `Light' directed by Mr.Febin Martin (MA Cinema and Television Batch 2021) also were selected to the short film competition section of the festival. The college wishes all students and alumni who participated in the competition the best in their creative journeys ahead.
