Composed mainly of quartz. Green color comes from the inclusion of fuchsite, (a chromium-rich muscovite). A metamorphic rock with a granoblastic texture
Hardness is a value of seven in Mohs scale.
vitreous to sub-vitreous luster forms through the metamorphism of sandstone or chert.
