As part of the World Alzheimer’s Awareness Week held from 21 to 26 September 2025, the department conducted high-impact clinical and community-focused initiatives. A key highlight was the organization of an early detection camp specifically designed to screen faculties and members of the Age Friendly Club for symptoms of Alzheimer’s. This proactive health screening emphasized the importance of early intervention and provided participants with professional insights into cognitive health, reinforcing the institution's commitment to the well-being of its senior community members.
Further extending its impact, an outreach program was conducted at Signature Care Home, an old age home, to support those on the front lines of patient care. This session focused on educating caregivers about identifying symptoms, implementing effective care strategies, and navigating available support services for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease. By bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical caregiving, the program provided essential resources to improve the quality of life for both patients and their families.
