From 21 to 26 September 2025, the institution observed World Alzheimer’s Awareness Week through a series of community-centric and experiential activities. To sensitize the public to the profound impact and risk factors of Alzheimer’s disease, the department organized a large-scale Awareness Rally. This public outreach initiative served to advocate for better understanding and support for those affected, effectively bringing the conversation surrounding cognitive health into the local community.
In addition to public advocacy, the week featured a creative educational activity for students titled "Clues for a Cause." This specialized treasure hunt was designed to provide participants with a hands-on simulation of the symptoms and daily difficulties experienced by patients living with dementia. By translating clinical symptoms into interactive challenges, the event successfully fostered deep empathy and practical insight among students, reinforcing the importance of patient-centered care and early symptom recognition.
