Principal's Message
New Year greetings to all heartians!
It's new year in Keralam - Chingam! That is now part of a by-gone culture, and it is more of a ritual than of any other consequence.
Perhaps, the calendar in itself may not be significant, however, as we celebrate Onam with the typical collective nostalgia, it is important to reflect on the various implications of the celebration, which could still be of significance for all of us even today.  We celebrate the memory of Mahabali's reign - and today, we speak of good governance (with its many political-economic nuances).  The significant shift is on 'participation' - from a receiving end to an onus to take initiative and own!  A call to involve and be part of! This implies a begin-with-self system, rather than blame-it-on-others.   It also becomes increasingly challenging - in everyday lives, what 'avatar' we take - that of Mahabali's self-abnegation to create 'space' for others  or that of Vamanan creating space for self through subjugation.  Season's greetings to all for a liberated involvement that creates space for all, and promotes prosperity of all (sarvodayam)!
