The Department of French has established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Alliance Française, the French cultural centre, enabling us to host the DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) exams for the academic year 2025–26. We actively train our students for the DELF exam, and many have successfully earned this prestigious French language certification. Our students also benefit from the English Assistant Scholarship awarded by the French Embassy, which offers valuable international exposure. In addition to academic training, we organise cultural programmes with a French flair to familiarise students with French culture. Our students regularly participate in intercollegiate French festivals and competitions, showcasing their language skills and cultural knowledge. The department also provides consultancy in translation and conducts communicative French courses, including DELF and TEF (Test d’Évaluation de Français).
