AquaFest 2025, organized by the Department of Aquaculture on 21, 24, and 25 November in connection with World Fisheries Day, celebrated sustainable fisheries, student talent, and academic interaction. The inaugural session featured Dr. Hashim, Scientist E, Ministry of Earth Sciences, who highlighted global fisheries, India’s Antarctic mission, and the importance of sustainable aquatic practices. The event included the inauguration of the Hatchery Complex, a vibrant Seafood Fest, and an engaging student exhibition showcasing fish diversity, aquaculture systems, ornamental fish culture, and eco-friendly farming technologies, complemented by live demonstrations and specimen displays. AquaFest fostered teamwork, creativity, and awareness of aquatic ecosystems, making it a memorable and enriching celebration for students, faculty, and guests.
