Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, Kochi Student Wellness Centre – Extension Programme Report

The Student Wellness Centre of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, Kochi, organised an extension programme titled “Be a Toofan Warrior – Anti-Drug Awareness Programme” at Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Thevara, on 17 October 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, for 50 NSS student volunteers.

The programme was led by Ms. Deepa Roy, Student Counsellor, Sacred Heart College, who served as the resource person. The session aimed to sensitise students to the harmful effects of substance abuse, strengthen their ability to resist peer pressure, and promote healthy lifestyle choices. It highlighted the importance of self-confidence, responsible decision-making, and seeking timely support from trusted adults and professionals.

The programme encouraged the NSS volunteers to become “Toofan Warriors” by actively spreading anti-drug awareness among their peers and in the wider community. It fostered a sense of social responsibility and motivated students to contribute towards building a drug-free society.
