On June 30, 2026, the Department of Economics at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, organised an awareness session titled "Stay Safe Online: RBI Cyber Fraud Awareness" at Dr. Manmohan Hall. The programme was led by Mr. Akhil V. S., Lead District Officer at the Reserve Bank of India, who delivered an insightful session featuring an educational video presentation on digital security. Dr. Vinil K. V., Head of the Department of Economics, delivered the welcome address, whilst Mr. Agilesh, Lead Bank Officer from SBI, offered felicitations. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Niranjan R. Prabhu, a third-year B.A. Economics student. Attended by over 80 final-year students from the Economics and Sociology departments, alongside faculty members and visiting bank officers, the session successfully enhanced awareness on navigating online financial threats safely.
