Kerala Revised Budget 2026–27 – Sectoral Perspectives, Fiscal Priorities and Sustainable Development
The Departments of Commerce and Economics, in association with the IQAC, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, are organising an academic discussion on "Kerala Revised Budget 2026–27: Sectoral Perspectives, Fiscal Priorities and Sustainable Development" on 24 June 2026 (Wednesday) at 11:30 AM onwards at Fr. Berchmans Hall.
The programme will provide a comprehensive perspective on Kerala's fiscal landscape through expert insights and student presentations focusing on five priority sectors:
- Infrastructure – Jiyanna Saelyn Harold & John B. Tharian
- Education – Sandra Rose & Joyel Joy Thekkenath
- Healthcare – Sreenandhini & Ann Mary Siby
- Disaster Management – Aditi Gupta & Ronit Raghav
- Agriculture & Irrigation – Ananya Jayaprakash & Shaireen Shams
The event will feature an Expert Analysis Session by Dr. Leena Varghese, Associate Professor, Al Ameen College, Edathala, Aluva, offering valuable insights into the fiscal priorities and developmental strategies outlined in the revised state budget.
