Around 450 students from Sacred Heart College, Thevara, actively volunteered at the Kochi Spice Coast Marathon 2026, held on 25 October 2026. Continuing its association with the event for the past 11 years, Sacred Heart College served as the official volunteering partner of the Spice Coast Marathon.

The student volunteers played a vital role in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the marathon. They were deployed across various key operational areas, including cheering points, aid stations, medal distribution stations, baggage counters, food distribution areas, water points, timing stations and the survey team.

The volunteers extended their support to runners and participants throughout the event, assisting with race-day operations, providing refreshments and water, managing participant facilities and encouraging runners along the route. Their active involvement contributed significantly to the overall coordination and participant experience of the marathon.

The continued partnership reflects Sacred Heart College's commitment to promoting volunteerism, teamwork, social responsibility and experiential learning among students. The participation of 450 students once again highlighted the college's strong culture of community engagement and its longstanding association with the Kochi Spice Coast Marathon.
