Jal Punarjani: Bio-Remediation Initiative Held as Part of World Environment Day Observance
As part of the World Environment Day celebrations, the Student Development Office, in association with the NSS Unit, organized “Jal Punarjani – Bio-Remediation Initiative” to promote environmental conservation and water body restoration.
The programme engaged students in the preparation of bioremediation balls, an eco-friendly solution designed to improve water quality by enhancing the natural breakdown of pollutants. Following the preparation activity, the students actively participated in releasing the bioremediation balls into the canal near the water tank.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about sustainable environmental practices and encourage student involvement in protecting and rejuvenating local water ecosystems. Through hands-on participation, the programme highlighted the importance of collective action in fostering a cleaner and healthier environment.
