HRIDYARAMBHAM 2026: Sacred Heart College Inaugurates Undergraduate Programmes for the Academic Year 2026–27
Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, officially welcomed its new undergraduate students through HRIDYARAMBHAM 2026, the inauguration of the Undergraduate Programmes for the academic year 2026–27, held on 2 July 2026. The programme reflected the institution's enduring commitment to academic excellence, value-based education, and holistic student development.
The day began with the Holy Mass and prayers at the Monastery Chapel, followed by the formal inaugural session featuring the College Anthem, cultural performances, and an interfaith invocation with readings from the Quran, the Bible, and the Bhagavad Gita.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Rev. Fr. Varghese Puthussery CMI, Manager, and attended by Prof. Franklin J, Principal; renowned traveller, filmmaker, and entrepreneur Shri. Santhosh George Kulangara, Chief Guest; distinguished alumna and playback singer Ms. Poornasree Haridas; Rev. Fr. Tomy P. P., Vice Principal; and Mr. Shijo Varghese, Staff Secretary.
Addressing the gathering, Shri. Santhosh George Kulangara encouraged students to dream boldly, embrace lifelong learning, and contribute meaningfully to society. Principal Prof. Franklin J introduced the values of CMI education, the college code of conduct, and the academic leadership team.
An inspiring interaction by distinguished alumna Ms. Poornasree Haridas highlighted her journey from Sacred Heart College to becoming a successful playback singer. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Siby Abraham, Dean of Students' Welfare.
HRIDYARAMBHAM 2026 marked the beginning of an enriching academic journey for the new batch of Heartians, inspiring them to pursue excellence, integrity, creativity, and service throughout their years at Sacred Heart College.
