The Department of Physics at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, Kochi, hosted Prof. Oluwatobi Samuel Oluwafemi, University of Johannesburg, on 1st October, 2026.

Prof. Oluwafemi delivered a scholarly lecture titled “The usefulness of NANO World in the MICRO World: Synthesis and Application of Nano Dots for Sustainable Life on Land”. The session followed an engaging interactive session with students. Students curiously interacted with him on his research topic novel materials for water purification, cancer detection and treatment. He also talked about funding opportunities, higher education, research and post doctoral research opportunities in the field abroad and also at UJ.
