The Department of Economics organised an industrial visit for 46 second-year BA Economics students to Kalvari Mount, Idukki, on 13 December 2025. Students explored tea estates and ecotourism sites, studied the local Tourism Development Society and Ramakkalmedu’s tourism infrastructure, and collected field data to design sustainable business proposals, linking classroom concepts with rural tourism and community-based resource management.
