MSc Ecology and Environmental Science

Conducted research on the allelopathic influence of the invasive weed Lantana camara on the germination and early growth of Vigna mungo (black gram). Aqueous leaf extracts of varying concentrations were tested to evaluate their effects on seed germination rate, radicle–plumule growth, and vigor index. The research provided valuable insights into the phytotoxic potential of Lantana camara and its ecological implications for agricultural productivity and ecosystem health.

BSc Environment and Water Management

The project involved the assessment of ambient air quality by monitoring major air pollutants such as SO₂, NO₂, and particulate matter (PM) in the Poonkunnam Ward of Thrissur. The study focused on identifying pollution trends, potential emission sources, and their environmental and health implications. Data were analyzed in collaboration with local environmental authorities, providing hands-on experience in environmental monitoring, sampling, and data interpretation for urban air quality management.
