World Environment Week 2026: Waste to Wonder Competition
The Department of Life Sciences (Zoology and Botany), Sacred Heart College, Thevara, is organizing World Environment Week 2026 under the theme “SH Environment Week: Together for a Greener Tomorrow” from June 3 to June 10, 2026.
As part of the celebrations, the department presents “Waste to Wonder”, a creative competition that encourages students to transform waste materials into innovative and useful products. The event aims to promote sustainability, responsible consumption, and environmental awareness through creativity and resourcefulness. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their ideas, contribute to a greener future, and compete for exciting prizes.
The programme aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production.
