The Department of Chemistry and the Department of Botany of Sacred Heart College Autonomous, Thevara jointly organized a lecture on Green chemistry & plastics as empowering young minds for a greener tomorrow on 16/07/2025, Wednesday at 2.30 pm at the UG final year classroom. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Ram Mohan, Professor, Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, Illinois Westeyan University, USA, a Fulbright specialist to Sacred Heart. The resource person was introduced by Dr. Lesly Augustine. The session served as an interactive session where the students gained knowledge on the production of plastics and its wide applications. In addition, different types of plastics that are safer and reusable were also discussed which invoked the awareness among students. The session concluded by 3.30 pm.
