NEST, under Koyilandy Palliative care Society is a voluntary social group headquarter at koyilandy, 25 kilometre north of Calicut in Kerala. It was started by 4 volunteers and 7 patients in 2005. NEST has now more than 300 volunteer and 3000 plus patients and beneficiaries. Operating in one municipal town and five surrounding panchayaths, the organization covers 100,000 people.
For a period of one week the students had the opportunity to do volunteer work in NEST, for an internship which was an eye opening experience which made students realize the reality called life. The duration was from 12th to 16th November 2019.
