Elizabeth Saji, an alumna of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, has secured a prestigious scholarship worth £63,000 (approximately ₹80 lakh) to pursue PhD research in Chemistry at the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge, UK. The total financial support for her three-and-a-half-year research programme amounts to approximately ₹2.4 crore.

Her research will explore the relationship between chemical processes and biological activity. Elizabeth completed her BSc (2020–2023) and MSc in Chemistry (2023–2025) at Sacred Heart College, undertaking her MSc project on hyaluronic acid hydrogels at IIT Madras. She is the daughter of Sajy V. V. and Shiji Saji and hails from Aluva.
