Dr. Meera U. Menon, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Kochi. She is a media educator, researcher, and communication professional with expertise in Media and Cultural Studies, Disability Studies, Film Studies, Communication Research, Journalism, Media Representation, Media Laws, and Development Communication. A First Rank holder and Gold Medalist in Journalism and Mass Communication, she is UGC-NET qualified and holds a PhD on disability representation in Malayalam cinema. She previously taught at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Kottayam, and Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Kochi. She also has professional experience in content development, social media management, and instructional design in the healthcare and IT sectors.
