SH Environment Week: Together for a Greener Tomorrow
The Department of Life Science organised a Mango Tree Plantation Drive (Indigenous Species) as part of the observance of World Environment Day 2026 and SH Environment Week: Together for a Greener Tomorrow.
The plantation programme was held on 5 June 2026 at the Lakeview Ground, promoting environmental sustainability and encouraging the conservation of native tree species. The initiative aimed to foster ecological awareness among students and inspire collective action towards a greener and healthier future.
The programme was inaugurated in the presence of Rev. Fr. Varghese Puthusserry CMI, Manager, and Dr. Franklin J, Principal. Faculty members, staff, and students actively participated in the plantation drive, reaffirming the institution's commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable campus initiatives.
The event marked a significant step in nurturing a greener campus and strengthening the college community's responsibility towards protecting the environment for future generations.
